Wallpaper sample I had in a drawer
I do have another job. I’m an event designer and have been for years. My company Robert Fountain, Inc. designs and produces event all over the world. On Tuesday June 23rd, I’m producing and designing The San Francsico Conservatory of Music Gala honoring Gordan Getty. The event will be held in a tent next to their building. When I meet with The chairs, two ladies I have worked with many times, I knew they were looking for something very elegant. We decided on french feel using lots of silvers and blues. I knew this would be the perfect opportunity to use Printed Velon. I had my eye on this beautiful distressed wallpaper sample I had stuck in a drawer forever. I dug it out and gave it to my designer Jordan to create the pattern for the Printed Velon. I choose the sky blue velon and metallic silver ink . This achieved a hand painted distressed feel. I not going to give away the rest of the event and will uploads images next week for you to see. My purpose is to show the path the design took to get to the final Printed Velon. You never know where the inspiration comes from. In this case form an old piece of wallpaper in a drawer.
